Movies Review + Moments of 2008 (Part 1)
In a short span of 6 days into the year 2009, I have watched 3 movies. The movie fanatic in me has not died yet, indicating a lesser likelihood of depression in the coming year. Amazingly, out of the 10 top grossing movies last year, I had watched 9 of them! =) For the reviews now…
Seven Pounds – (B): The final revelation in the end didn’t make up for the slow build-up at all.
The Duchess – (A-): The very fact that I enjoyed the movie despite the fact that it was not my favourite era deserved a thumbs-up.
Australia – (A+): It is a 小品 in an epic. It is amazingly stunning with many captivating moments.
Moments of 2008 (Part 1) – Weddings
It is a total of 7, not too many for people of my age actually.
05 Jan 08 – Betty’s Wedding @ Nobel House
Unfortunately, I have no photo of the bride but this was an important event in the year of 2008 as I found a new old friend - hanging out much more than before - Weicai. Of course, how can I even forget about my dear Pei Pei? =)
21 Jun 08 – Zonghe & Peixin’s Wedding @ Nobel House
I was the one who instigated them taking this "Titanic-like" photo. Memorable first time being 兄弟 too. =)
It was really nice seeing my good old band friends.
29 Jun 08 – Suhaida’s Wedding @ Pasir Ris Void Deck
Simple Malay lunch but ended up like a catch up with the rest of Oncology MOs after we left the posting in May 08.
07 Sep 08 – Boon Rui & Daphe’s Wedding @ Conrad
Love the decor. Love the food. And it was a big gathering for the MOCC guys who pretty much behaved like the rowdy soldiers from ***.
16 Nov 08 – Adelene’s Wedding @ Happy Restaurant
One of the most traditional wedding dinners I had been to for a long long time. It was simple and pleasant.
22 Nov 08 – Euan’s Wedding @ Grand Hyatt
My mini boss at work now. Most heart-warming feel in terms of atmosphere and the food is pretty tasty too.
26 Dec 08 – Lincoln & Zhimin’s Wedding @ Changi Village Hotel
The wedding that I put closest to my heart. Be it the morning gate-crashing, organising photo-taking, sword-bearing, memorable speech, cam-whoring, the good old friends, chit-chatting at the hotel lobby, Starbucks at Changi Airport, the overnight stay at the hotel......
